Titles, Toilets and myLotters

I've had a couple of posts recently about apples and the apple festival held here over Easter. At our Fruit Barn, the public toilets have an apple theme being marked 'Jonathon' and 'Pink Lady', both of which are varieties of apples. Which is probably stating the obvious but you're never quite sure with myLotters. And I'm incorporating the word 'toilet' in the title as I'm sure posts with 'toilet', 'myLot' or 'strippers' in the title attract a lot more readers. I wonder what that says about many of us?

That is quite funny! I've heard of Jonathan apples, but not pink ladies. One of my favourites at a country pub here is ewes and rams.

That's appropriate for NZ isn't it? As long as the general public knows which is which and of course they should but you never know with some people.

@JudyEv We do have to be careful with so many tourists using public toilets!

@valmnz I saw a cartoon the other day to do with this. They were Scottish toilets and each sign was the same! Dresses and kilts I guess.

That's an innovative idea. In some places in my country, they use Adam and Eve.

@JudyEv I think there is so many variances but still nice to have this in the public. I can't imagine if there is no toilet around. I am going to be crazy. I tried this before.

At first look of the picture , I thought that's a toilet, with the ladies toilet labeled as Pink Ladies while the males' as Jonathon. At your country, what type of apple is the most delicious. We only have the imported one Fuji apple which I find delicious. My friend from Canada said the most delicious apple they have is the Ambrosia , if I am not mistaken by the name.

@JudyEv PHave you eaten a Fuji apple? If yes, how is it comparable to Pink Lady?

I think probably the Pink Lady is the one I like the most but we have quite a few varieties to choose from.

@JudyEv LOL! I am glad you told us what "Pink Ladies" are, though! I have heard of them, but the ones I know about are NOT apples!

Really? That's a hoot! Maybe I should put "stripper" in my next title. I was busy yesterday but could not help but think, in the afternoon, about your apple festival posts and it made me think of a book I read when I was very young. "Mr. Apple's Family" about a couple with the last name of Apple and their children are named Jonathan, Delicious, Snow, etc. because of the last name. Later they move out of the city to a farm with an apple orchard. A very calm and entertaining book, not adventurous, but I remember it all these years later occasionally because it was such a pleasant story.

@JudyEv I don't recall grandparents being mentioned but it was so long ago when I read it. It was a nice little book, nothing special, just a nice read for a child.

Yes, you should try a post with such a title. That sounds a nice book. How clever to name the kids after the apple varieties. Do you remember if they had a Granny Smith in the story?

The Pink Ladies are by far my favorite apples, unfortunately they are also the more expensive. The murale is cute.

@JudyEv I know they are the most expensive here, because I buy a bag of 1 Kg every week, usually an apple and a yogurt is my lunch.

I love the picture on the fruit barn of the toilets. It's reminding me that I really do need to get the right shower curtain up in my bathroom. It's one of outdoor toilets too. I have it ready to put up, I'm just too lazy to do it, or maybe I was focused on my book, now finished, to do anything about it. I know about Jonathan apples, not pink ladies. Learned something new.

With the rise of feminism and the LGBT scene, I suspect the Pink Lady would be used as the unisex toilet.
