At the Donnybrook Apple Festival in Western Australia, we watched a demonstration by some motor-cross riders. These normally ride through natural bush country looking for logs to cross or rocks to climb to test their skills. At the Festival, they had to be satisfied with tractor tyres, trunks, an old car and various other 'obstacles'.
Their balance was incredible and their ability to jump their bikes up and down the various obstacles was awe-inspiring. Have you ever seen these guys perform these sorts of stunts? They could just as easily be called stuntmen.
The photo: Unfortunately the motley crowd, so to speak, at the back make it a bit hard to make out the bike-rider.

The bike riders, they are fearless. They even don't think of their life. They are so awesome.

Yes, it's known as trials, and it's very impressive! They do it on mountain bikes, too. So cool to watch.

Motor-cross is pretty popular here in the states. If I was 40 years younger I'd like to try it! Those guys have incredible skills.

The bikes weren't nearly as noisy as I thought they might have been. With straight-out racing the noise really puts me off.

We have a saying ,boldness of execution stems from superb skill. The motor-cross riders surely have undergone arduous training for many years.

They jumped their bikes up on the wooden 'bridge' and off the other end. Their balance was incredible, particularly to someone who nearly falls over if they close their eyes!

I know bike racing and motor-cross is popular down under. One usually thinks of it as an American thing.
