*The remote control… errr, my mobile phone!

I always leave the computer after 3 PM because I have to watch intently my favorite afternoon drama series, which is a 45-minute show, equivalent to3 hours for 2 shows. My son went out, my sister is washing her clothes, and I am resting and watching TV. I am so engrossed that if commercial advertisements break the series, I would switch the channel to other stations; but then, a few minutes ago, I could not change the channel even if I am holding the TV remote control, and pointing at the TV set. I laughed softly, because what I was pointing at the TV was my mobile phone. Of course the size of the remote control and my phone are different (RC is long and heavy while my phone is a bit square and light). No, that is not dementia, or forgetfulness, but I sometimes do this unintentionally if my concentration is preoccupied on something. There are more instances with similar occurrence. How about you? Do you do this too?

I can understand you doing that. Sometimes, I also do that way. I even posted was before that inadvertently , I took the small glass that I had in my side table because I was eating chips and dip it there to drink water, thinking that it was my glass of water just beside that small glass of vinegar. Are you watching The Greatest Love. It's saddening that one of the two Gloria and Peter will die. Have you seen it already, i suppose because you are at home?

@ridingbet I have just watch at iwantv the episode last 12th. He indeed went to a lawyer. Sad, that he has to leave Gloria ahead. No, Maundy Thursday, I was just at home. Good Friday up to Black Saturday , I went to our hometown. Easter Sunday , attended the mass then after that we went to my hubby's cousin's thanksgiving/belated wedding anniversary celebration. I was indeed hardly here. I missed you too.

i had the hunch that peter will go ahead of Gloria based on the preview last week, and he giving his money (inheritance) to the children of Gloria. that is more apinful, because at last, Gloria recognized him as her love one. yes, i am always at home, my lady, but tomorrow morning, i will be out to attend the mass for the burial/interment of the deceased mother of my colleague. i missed you;i thought you spend the Holy Week in another place?

I must confess I have done this too.. though not with a cell phone.. I usually pick up remote for TV instead of cable or maybe even the remote for the air conditioner... one time I remember picking up my house phone.. although that is a similar shape and size.. - it's too funny

hahaha! if all the remote controls in your home look the same, then you will surely use one for the other.

@ridingbet Of course and thank you and the other day I had the phone in one hand and the remote control in the other and was going to answer the remote control. We all do things like that on and off.

Of course there is probably an app to make your phone into a remote. Then it would not matter.

i don't think there is an app for that, unless the TV unit or the remote control is universal.

@ridingbet Yes but it stays in the bedroom otherwise that cell phone wonders all over the place and we find it in the strangest places.

@jstory07 here at home, the RC is either with me, or my sister, who sits far from me, so when i ask her to change the channel, she tells me to do it (because she plays candy crush on the phone), and i need to stand up. yes, when she plays, her butt is already stuck in the chair.

i hope an inventor will do that. a universl remote control that should include switching off lights, garage, phone, TV, the vacuum cleaner; practically everything, then we as humans, will be taken over my machines.

My cell phone is always in my waist with a holster like case and clip, ready to draw if I want to instantly Mylot. the remote is controlled by my mother because it keeps getting lost if my children use it so no it does not happen to me.

you mean, it is upside down, or the laser , even if you continuously press the RC, does not connect to the TV because the laser flashes in you? i sometimes do that too, and i thought the batteries are already drained.
