As suggested by @JamesHxstatic I bring you my musical journey! :-) Even though you couldn't tell it by how much I practice these days - it is true - yours truly, Fayehazel is a bass guitarist. But I'm getting ahead of myself. If you enjoy my musical journey - please check out the musical journey green box at the top. My interest in strung instruments started almost 20 odd years ago. A teenager at the time I had recently discovered the joys of music. As is typical for me, I like to be involved with what I take an interest in. I became fascinated by the thought of playing guitar. Why guitar? Well, I was a big U2 fan and think I had a pretty black acoustic on my mind, the sort Bono used to strum. Later I would learn that Bono's guitar capabilities were called "rhythm guitar"., leaving the showier lead guitar parts to his cohort , The Edge. I bought a book about how to play, but I had no guitar. I tentatively let my parents know of my aspirations. I was hoping to borrow enough to buy a cheap black guitar (you know, like Bono's.) Instead my parents bought for me a nice, higher priced acoustic guitar, case, books, strings and lessons. Thus began Faye as a guitar player. U2 "Rattle and Hum" featuring Bono with, and without his black acoustic :
A concert movie on an unprecedented scale. Rattle And Hum captures U2 -- on and off the stage -- during their triumphant Joshua Tree tour. From the giant Tec...

I had an acoustic guitar when I was a kid. Never learned to play a thing on it. I finally stepped on it one night while I was drunk.

Oh dear! Have you heard all the jokes about violas? There is a heap about ukuleles too. For instance: What's the difference between a ukulele and a trampoline? Answer: you take off your shoes to jump on a trampoline.

Your parents were very thoughtful! Good for you! I took piano lessons for eight years and found out I was talentless!

@FayeHazel yes, i love them. actually we have many VHS tapes on pop music of the '80s. also Frankie goes to Hollywood, Wham, U2, even Cyndi Lauper. i have posters of Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet in my room, but my sol told me i should remove it because he wanted his pictures of his graduation posted.

That is great, myself have had the interest to study the guitar, but I can't fathom understanding all the strings involved, I can't master them all. I think I should reconsider again learning the guitar... it looks so interesting

Guitar is a lot of fun - and don't worry about the strings - it isn't as bad as it seems :-)
