Waazzz Up MyLotters?

This morning started off with a visit from my oldest daughter which was totally unexpected. She was out running errands, stopped at Dunkin Donuts and got us each coffee and bagel. My youngest daughter is off to work today so it was just the two of us and it was a pleasant surprise. After a long weekend she was happy the kids went back to school and decided to stop in for a quick visit while she was out. I haven't seen her for days as they spent Easter with her in laws. Her quick visit turned into a few hours and we never run out of things to talk about. Now that she's gone I decided to use the time to dye my hair so I have about 30 minutes to sit here and myLot before I have to finish the process. Talk about procrastinating. I should have done this at least two weeks ago. I'm just going to wing it for the rest of the day. It's nice out but don't know if it's warm enough to sit outside and read. Guess I'll play it by ear and see what the day brings. What's going on in your neck of the woods?

Our beautiful weather had an unexpected turn, strong wind, drop in temperature, back in winter. I had to go out to water some plants, because the wind is drying everything that is already in bloom.

Mother Nature seems very reluctant to let go of winter this year. We'll probably go straight into some wicked hot summer weather

@Marilynda1225 This is what I think, as it happened the last few years.

It's gonna be hot soon so I'm trying to think of ways to create more shade. So far no ideas that don't cost a lot of money, the one thing I don't have a lot of. Ok, lets just say I'd rather feed my furmily good food and have my internet than to reduce those expenditures to buy shade. I'm gonna handle it one way or another ..... sides, I'm way too addicted to mylot

Both @Marilynda1225 it gets in the triple digits by June most of the time and that tin roof on my mobile home soaks in that heat so I need tall trees to kinda shade the southwest and west parts of this thing so it doesn't become an oven inside ..... this year it'll be hot but if I get those trees on the southwest started they'll provide relief in a couple years, chinaberries grow pretty fast.

sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders when it comes to priorities. Are you thinking of trees for shade or more like an outdoor umbrella, etc?

I love spending time with my kids, too. How sweet of your daughter to stop by like that! The plumber just left after fixing a problem pipe in the basement which took two hours, and my son is coming for a quick visit. I love seeing him. I only hope my husband returns from the dump in time to see him, too. He missed his last visit. I just took Doodles out, and it was pretty warm in the sun!

I always enjoy visits from my kids and I'm lucky that one lives with me and the other is just on the other side of the cornfield. My other two live an hour away so I don't see them as often. Hope your hubby made it home in time to see your son. Sounds like your hubby has recovered nicely from his surgery

@Marilynda1225 You are lucky to be close to two of your kids. My husband did get home in time. He still isn't fully recovered. He needs me to dry his hair. He made an appointment with the surgeon to see what's taking so long. He is much better than before. Thank you!

I'd love to dye my hair. I'm going all grey, but my hair is so long and I feel like I'm starting to look "witchy". The white part at my temples looks pretty cool, though. But I hate white roots. It looks so weird. I need to think about this since I can't afford to have it done at the salon. My niece dyes her own hair, but it's a very fake red color and it looks horrible (although I'd never say anything to her). So I don't want to do that, either. How do you decide on a color?

I just picked a color closest to my natural and chose that. It works very well, isn't expensive (less than $10) and it holds up well for weeks. I wish I could afford to have it done at a salon but that's an expense that isn't' even on my radar. Red is a difficult color I think but if you chose a different color you'll probably be happy.

@Marilynda1225 I used to do a dark auburn that looked nice, but I don't know what I'm going to do. Some days I'd like to just cut it all off! lol

I always say I'm not going to dye my hair anymore and then it gets to a point where it looks horrible so I say "one last time"

I also need to take time to color my roots, kind of looking like bird poop . I have to work outside, maybe move the dogs houses and spray for mosquitoes.
