The Horse's Military wins and loses a battle with Kaiser on the same day

I had been told by my Doctor's assistant last Wednesday that my two prescriptions would be ready for pickup Monday morning. One was ready, but the other could not be renewed until Sunday, meaning that it would be available the next day. Knowing Kaiser's evil ways, I asked him for clarification: "So if I go in Monday, both prescriptions will be available for pickup?" "Yes," he said. Of course, when I went in late yesterday afternoon, only one was ready. I politely told the lady behind the counter that I would be writing and angry letter to someone, and she said she would too, if she were me. But when I got outside, cursing Kaiser for having won this particular battle (so far), I realized that I had won another. I had spoken with my snow peas a month ago, when I had harvested a couple dozen, and advised my remaining soldiers to hide from Kaiser's evil-doers. Grow, and bear fruit, I had said, but try to fall over the back end of the planter, so you will not be seen. They obeyed my orders, and yesterday's harvest was even more bountiful than the last. When I am Supreme President for Life of Kaiser, all workers there will be competent. Basic English proficiency will be required. Doctors will care about their patients. An IQ of at least 95 will be required for hiring. And snow peas will be everywhere. You don't mess with The Horse.

Your snow peas look great, I always talk to my plants, I do not care if people think that I am nut, I know that they listen.

@TheHorse No, I have never heard something like this, at most "give me some water".

@LadyDuck I'm glad to hear that. My sunflowers were recently whining about not enough sun, but they didn't say anything weird.

You're only a nut if they talk back to you and say things like "Eat your husband."

What can one expect from a company named after the title of the guy who thought invading France in order to beat Russian in WWI was a good idea.

The Germans didn't win WWI either, did they? The Horse's revenge will make the Versailles Treaty seem like child's play!

Another 8-year-old kid (a client) has joined my Army. We bought him some planters yesterday at the Dollar Store. I'll burn some extra fossil fuel and pick up the other prescription this morning.

Prescription refills are a pain in the rear. I just have the VA send them to me. I don't have to deal with the pharmacy that way.

One of these is a controlled substance (for my lower pack pain). So they can't mail it it me. As of a couple of years ago. Sucks.

That's why I waited and did not go there last week. Patience. But they still won that battle.

Some were kind of bloated. At that point they get a bit bitter, not sweet. So I tried a new "recipe."

Word domination will be mine! I actually probably will write some sort of letter to Kaiser. I'm tired of this sort of thing.
