Give it a minute, it will change

I could come up with quite a long list of opinions about health that have changed over the years. Eggs are good for you--bad for you--good for you again. Butter is bad for you. Butter is good for you. Whole milk is bad for you. Whole milk may help you lose weight as the fats in it keep you satisfied. Coconut is bad for you. The fats in it cause heart attacks. Nope, coconut oil and coconut is one of the most recent dietary hero. Eating fish is good for you. Fish is brain food. . . eating certain fish more than once a week can fill you with toxic heavy metals. A person with a tan is healthy. Tanning and being in the sun is bad for you, causes cancer. We need the sun to help our bodies produce vitamin D. Get some sunshine every day. So, pick and choose. Living may be bad for your health.

Personally, I'm happy with the pro-butter trend. I've always liked it more than margarine!

It has been years since I bought margarine. I do like the butter, and it does not seem to be raising my blood fats.

@spiderdust One site called that "bacon butter" and I do save an use it. I seldom cook bacon, but nothing goes to waste.

@GardenGerty Mine either. I'm feeling less guilty about saving bacon fat and using that in cooking too!

I like whole milk, but also certain brands of low fat. If you are in good health, I see no reason to change.

@Courtlynn At one point I had access to good quality RAW milk. My family of four drank nine gallons a week.

I never knew onions were bad. . . unless you have allergies or serious reflux. Reflux medicine can be bad for you. Exercise can be bad for you. We could keep this going a long while.

@GardenGerty I think everything in moderation and as much fresh stuff as possible isn't a bad way to go.

@GardenGerty I was mentioning my husband on another discussion. He plays hockey every day from August to April - just drop in and play every noon.. Most of the guys are younger and he tells them he is living his dream! We should all enjoy life like he does.

Life is really full of challenges. Challenge which elements is good for you and bad for you. So I guess it depends on what health requirements we needed.

We don't care what is good or bad, but will stay living without animal products b/c this is what we like! "They" never seem to know what they are talking about, so we will continue to be food snobs and do what we do.

If it works for you, it must be just what your body needs.
