Wasamba Drum Group gets the Donnybrook citizens moving

One of the groups participating in the Donnybrook Apple Festival street parade was 'Wasamba Drum Group'. This community driven drumming group is based in Fremantle, Western Australia.
Their drumming is loud and percussive and, as you can see, the members wear rainbow-hued circus samba costumes. They put an incredible amount of energy into their dancing and playing and their happiness was infectious.
The photo shows them during the parade. They also performed later for an enthusiastic audience.

I love drums. In the summer, they have a weekly drum circle in the park across the street. It's really cool.

It is great to participate or just be in the audience for these kind of parades. Sounded like you enjoyed it. Performers who create their art tend to enjoy it and bring a lot of happiness to others. Like the costumes...
