January 2nd, 2016 I woke up around 3 a.m. with nothing on my mind but my parents. They left for their second Honeymoon a week ago and left me with my uncle Joe but he is nowhere to be found either. Who leaves a young child home alone? I am sure he heard that huge boom that I heard last Tuesday and left to investigate but never made it back. I am not surprised by him leaving because he hates babysitting, to begin with. My uncle Joe taught me everything I needed to know when it came to survival just in case something like this happened. My uncle Joe was always talking about the end of the world and things like that which drove my mom nuts but at some point, she started to really sit down and listen to him. She bought our first aid and food kit because of my Uncle Joe and now I can't find him because I am too scared to leave my house. Why am I so scared to see what is out there? I want to see but then again I want to stay inside where it is safe. I am in need of water so at some point I am going to have to go out and seek water and a few more supplies like bullets. I took some foil off of the window to see if I could see outside but I couldn't see anything beyond my nose. There was a thick fog out there and nothing could be seen so I covered the window back up and sat back down on the bed that I had brought into the living room. I colored a few pictures and wrote a few letters to my parents just in case I decided to leave and they came back looking for me. I don't know if I should stay here and wait for another few weeks or just leave and try to find them myself. I know where they went but then again they could have gotten turned around and are now headed somewhere else or to a totally different state. I have a huge dilemma on my plate and I have to make a decision based on what I have in front of me right now which is a whole lot of nothing.

How old is Molly? What about the uncle? He sounds like a young one...

Molly is 13 as stated in the prologue. The story is written entry by entry. Uncle Joe's age was not disclosed but he is twenty-six years old.

@Keyia120 Thanks for letting me know...at least now I know why the uncle just left Molly by herself without thinking...
