Hopefully, it's back.

A few baseball season's ago one of the major players, captain of the teams and excellent player, center fielder Adam Jones for the Baltimore Orioles made a fun ritual at the end of the games that are won by putting a pie in the face of the player of the game. Sometimes the pie would be put in the face of a new player that made a great play, first home run and so on. And only done at home games at the OPACY (Orioles Park At Camden Yards) in Baltimore, MD. This got to be loved by many Baltimore Orioles fan's especially myself and my now 6 year old granddaughter. Then towards the end of last season the commisioner of baseball decided that for whatever reason that it was unsafe and put a stop to it. Last night when the Orioles were playing the Cincinatti Reds in Ohio the pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez pitched a great game and I do not believe he has ever got "pied" and all of the sudden we were all surpised by Adam putting a pie in his face! It was awesome! We are hopeing that it is back forever! I understand that another team did this ritual on Monday night

We love it and is sad that they are putting a stop to it. Yet another team can do it.

@homebasedbobbie I have no idea why they would allow that or even not allow it in the first place. Makes me mad!

Putting on pie in someone's face is unsafe. Really? Who knew I think the baseball commissioner should concentrate on the illegal use of PED's by the players instead of stopping the good clean fun the players are having.

I think some player complained because he got pied and had contacts. I think those players should just go on a "No Pie List" simple as that. But they allow pouring liquid (water/Gatorade) in not so warm weather! That could cause a cold or even pnemonia!

@dfollin Yea a no pie list would do the trick. And when one ballplayer gets sick it runs rampant in the clubhouse and pretty soon everyone is sick.

I think once or twice. Adam does not pie the same person too many times, but more than once sometimes.
