Here it is, 4/20, and I didn't use a "high" song. Shame on me. (As I explained, I've never used pot, so I don't understand the connection between pot and 4/20, but I'm sure it has something to do with the odometer on Willie Nelson's bus! ) So here's a "high" song that did not make the list. Hi Hi Hi - Paul McCartney & Wings And who knows more about that than Sir Paul? (For you kids, Paul spent a week in a Japanese jail for pot possession.) To nobody's surprise, this was banned by the BBC back in 1972...but not for the reference to getting high. No, it was the sexual content ("I want you to lie on the bed, get you ready for my polygon," which the BBC misinterpreted as body gun, to even Sir Paul's surprise) that had the song pulled from British airwaves. But thanks to the light reggae feel of the B-side, "C Moon," the song made the UK top five. Happy April 20! Hi Hi Hi Written by Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney Recorded by Paul McCartney & Wings Released as a single, 1972 "Do ya, sweet banana"? Really???

A blast from youthful days from when Paul was really good.

For me, Paul has always been a hoot! He's a brilliant song writer, loves being in love a little too much, can't live alone to save his life, and has one helluva time on stage with his fans! I've seen him in concert quite a few times (a few of those times with Linda and Wings), and there just doesn't seem to be anyone happier than Paul. "C-Moon" has always been one of my favorites, too. And this "Hi" song always makes me laugh!

Getting banned by the BBC almost guarantees success.
