Its easy to see that I do not have the easiest life, I am over worked and underpaid, I need sleep more and more, some days I nearly fall over from exhaustion. BUT.... I make do and I take care of the business and I have this 24/7 patient in the house and its harder taking care of him than working HARD labor. I got up after listening to him cough off and on for an hour, usually he will take a breathing treatment and I can get back to sleep but not this morning, he was in full whine mode! I got up and turned on the coffee pot while asking him why he not take a breathing treatment. He hooked it up and took one. I checked my own blood sugar and got me a cup of coffee, sat down for a second. And that is all it took, I sat down! Whining he said " I cant breathe, its that coffee!" I said "it is not." and went to pay attention to him, I turned the fan on. Blood pressure 126/69 - Blood sugar 130 He said 'I cant breathe." I told him to sit up, or rather get in the recliner. I put the thing on his finger to check his oxygen - 98. I showed him and I told him to go back to sleep. But I made him an egg sandwich and gave him his morning meds and 1/2 pain pill and told him go to sleep. I know for a fact he has not slept more than a few hours at a time, he needs more sleep. See... I took him to his lung doctor on Monday and everything is fine, he can breathe. So he needs to get off my coffee, I already told him I don`t see how I can live in my own house if I cannot cook or make my coffee.

Hope things go better and hope you get that much needed rest. I used to be like if I had things to do I just kept going like a clock and one day I lay down because I was stumbling over my feet. Now I know better never exhaust myself just lay down when I need it and I do feel better for it.

If he is in a panic and thinks he can`t breathe, I have to first make sure, if his stats are ok then I need to calm him down, then I would get to rest, if not I will be at the hospital with a full blown panic attack because he "thinks" he cant breathe.

Have you read about the health benefits of coffee for certain illnesses? We know many who make themselves sicker than they are b/c they talk themselves into whatever they think about for the moment. Hope things change for the better for you soon.
