Tasting Popsicle Tootsie Pops

Do you think I could resist trying Tootsie Pop flavored Popsicles? Fat chance. Picked these up where else but the 99 Cents Store. Did you know Popsicles were created by accident in 1905 by an 11-year-old kid named Frank Epperson? He mixed powdered soda and water and left it in the freezer with the stirring stick. The package contains 16 Popsicles in traditional Tootsie Pop flavors orange, cheery and grape. What is the Tootsie Pop connection? The center is soft chocolate fudge flavor substituting for Tootsie Roll. The sticks have corny jokes. A nice treat as temps are expected to reach 90 degrees in Southern California this weekend.

I would like them but my dentist says no tootsie rolls, not good for my teeth/gum issues.

It's not actual Tootsie Rolls (the chewy candy) in the center but a soft chocolate fudge.

I've never had Tootsie Pops but I do remember Fudgsicles, which were a favorite of mine, being a chocolate loverl Haven't seen those in years!

Nothing I like better than chocolate Popsicles. I keep them in the freezer at all times

They sound interesting enough. I don't know if I would try them though.

They sound pretty awesome actually. I hope they will migrate East, or they could be here I suppose. Maybe, a big store like Kroger would have them.

After some thirty years I tasted a tootsie roll and it was terrible! That put me off that childhood treat ever since
