but I really have. I know I haven't been around much this last month, sorry about that... My wife had to have bypass surgery, I mentioned it here: Also, Kismet, my next to the youngest cat, also had surgery. Then I've been running to the hospital, and then to the rehab hospital, since she had surgery. I have missed twice, today will probably be the third time. Not sure about tomorrow either, our friend, J, will be coming over to help me get the front room ready for the wife to come home. She won't be able to get on her water bed for a while (and I need to get it cleaned off too.) But right now its nearly impossible to get to the recliner that she will need to sleep in. I have worked off and on all day in the front room, and then on the laundry/waterbed the rest of the time. Alright, so I have to take rests too, like now, but I have put a lot of work into this so when J comes tomorrow, he'll know I haven't just waited for him to come and help with the room. I've also done a load of clothes and need to do another, mostly because the brats have been sleeping on clean clothes and getting them dirty. Cat hair wouldn't be a big problem, except we are talking surgery here... So... now that I've had a little rest, I guess I need to pour another soda and get back to work!
So, the wife has had her surgery. They had her scheduled for 1, but took her down early. I got to see her post-surgery at 5, but then I needed to come home to...

I slept about 16 hours out of the 24 yesterday to recover, so I have been resting. She's coming home tomorrow too, so that's good. Need to gas up the car before I get her tomorrow, but that's about the last thing I need to do today.

@ridingbet I didn't sleep that straight, but I was so exhausted from the day before, being up 23 hours on 4 hours of sleep. I slept 8 hours, then I was up for 4, then slept another 4 hours, up another 4 and then a final 4 hours...

@ElicBxn sleeping 16 out of 24 hours, don't you think that is over-sleeping? didn't you have headache when you woke up?

You would not believe how much J and I got done today! There is still a lot to be done in the front room, but compared to where it was when we started this morning... well... WOW! Except for a small area where my desk is, the rest of the room has been mopped. The chair she will have to sleep in has been cleared around, mopped under and returned to its location. It isn't completely done, but...

@LadyDuck we didn't move the entertainment center or the curio cabinets and the bookcases are screwed to the wall, but the two chairs got moved. The recliner is cleaned out but the ugly chair still needs to be emptied. Today, however, except for a visit with the wife at the hospital, I mostly slept.

@ElicBxn To deeply clean a room takes a lot of time and you have to move around things that are heavy. I am glad you are proceeding well with your work.

Prayers for your wife and hope things will continue to improve. You are her biggest support and hope, and we understand if you cannot be here much as much as you would like too.

@ElicBxn I can relate with being on here from time to time or doing other things with little sleep. Happens here from time to time as well.

I spent most of today sleeping, and I'm getting ready to go back to bed. All the work I did yesterday was on only 4 hours of sleep.

Thanks Barbara! We got a lot done in the 6 hours we worked. No, we didn't work nonstop, neither of us can do that any more, but we still got a lot done.

Me too, even though I am having to work hard to get the house more together so it will be safe for her to be home.

@Happy2BeMe I want her to be home, but I have fibromyalgia, and between it and the cold I have had no energy - I hope to have some still tomorrow to work when my friend comes...
