EXPECT OR NOT?

Everyone says you shouldnt expect anything in return when you love or care about someone. I feel when you give so much, no one is a saint here and we all expect a little effort atleast. IS THIS WRONG? what would you do in this state?

It depends who it is with. If if is a relationship then I expect the same love and caring back. A relationship can not be one sided and survive.

Yeah we always wait for something in return is sad that not everyone can give you the same love you gave to them but at least you can have the satisfaction you did your best.

We should not expect something from the things which are not in our control . As when we don't get things as per our expectations we feel sad

I think if you really love someone, you would not expect anything in return..in a couple, one of them will always love less and the other more..they will never be able to love the same way

@malibu153 Because a person can't love as much as the other..even if he loves with all his heart..Two people can't love in the same way. I know it's not fair..but that's it
