Do you wear glasses?

April 22, 2017 11:41am CST
I'm referring to some kind of vision problem or to avoid eye strain while reading. Many people prefer to wear glasses, others prefer to wear contact lenses. I don't have that kind of problem. How about you?

I have to wear glasses to clearly see distance. As yet, do not require reading glasses.

I got glasses at the age of 26 because of short-sightedness. Meanwhile, I've also got other problems. I've always worn glasses. The idea of putting lenses in my eyes doesn't appeal to me.

Nope... don't wear them other than for driving and distance but my two sisters both had them from a young age. I guess that I lucked out. I don't like the feel of them even for driving!!

I did wear glasses when I was a teenager for a few years to fix a lazy-eye problem. Now since I've hit middle-age, I'll be getting reading glasses for reading, writing/editing and computer use, in a few weeks.

I had perfect vision until I was 40 @TheInvisibleMan . Now I have to wear glasses and I also have cataracts now too. I'm like @MALUSE , I won't wear contacts.

I always had decent vision (except at night, I'm fairly night blind), but I find that I have to rely on my reading glasses more often these days. Comes with reaching middle age, I guess.

Few years ago I was diagnosed with early stage of blindness. And my doctor was opposed in using contact lenses. He prescribed me with glasses instead. Up to now I haven't use any glasses. I just don't want to. But I take the supplement he prescribe and been eating a lot of leafy vegetable. And of course I'm not eating the foods in the list the he said I shouldn't. Number one on the list is CHOCOLATE! Bummer! But I'm feeling much better now. Though I know in time I will have to use the glasses.

I only started to wear glasses for reading when I was in my late 40s, and I can't read a thing without them now (I'm 78).

I used to love wearing contacts when I lived in the states. Here in Latvia they became too expensive so I wear glasses because I am nearsighted. However now my eyes have settled so to say and when I read or need to read fine print I take off my glasses because otherwise everything is blurry.

I started wearing spectacles recently.I used to get a stye every time,so I consulted an eye doctor,he recommended me to wear specs. I have never used contact lens in my life,if you use it,you have to be extra careful, or it might create problems. Our eyes are very delicate and precious, so if we like to use contact lens, we should be very careful.
