I now its been a week and I cannot seem to get it all back right! I have made sure the phones are off and so far the dogs have been good so I can sleep. A couple nights in a row Tony was up and so I stayed up, not I am all messed UP. I used to always be in bed by midnight, read 30 minutes or fall asleep reading and up by around 8:30 or 9 am. Now I am up to 2 or 3 am, and getting out of bed not before 10 am, one day I slept till 12:30! This has to stop because I am falling behind on life. I do not get much accomplished outside and that is what I do, I grow and mow and adore the animals, I dreamed I had a cow as a pet last night, even the inside of the house is suffering. Next week starts more doctor appointment for Tony and I have to drive.... How can I restart my sleeping to get back to normal hours?

I feel bad for you, I hope that you find a "normal" (for you) schedule.

I'm sorry I hope you can get back on track again soon. It's hard to adjust to new hours of sleep.

I think it may take a while. Sorry to hear life is so disrupted. Interupted sleep really takes it out of you.

When I get my sleep all confused I have gotten back to order with good strong valerian root tea which puts me to sleep after I drink it. Anyway there are also valerian root tablets and such. Here is an article about valerian root. I think a good strong cup of tea is in order.
If you experience anxiety or insomnia, you might want to try taking valerian root as a remedy. Here’s how much is safe to take. <br/>

I have found that if I make a late start with the day's activities the time simply flies and I never get enough done. It is hard to say how to get back to your usual routine because there is the possibility that Tony may need your assistance during the night.

Life could be tough at times. Sometimes we are up and running for everyday including weekends. May be you could go for incremental changes- start a little early say by 10 minutes, sleep a little early and so on. Listen to some soothing music. Watch some nice movie. Go for an early morning walk. Tough yet doable.

I've just recently turned my own sleeping patterns around for the better, but everyone is different. For me it was drinking less coffee, not using the computer after seven o'clock at night and having a quiet relaxing time before going to sleep, not meditation but just gentle thinking. I make sure I'm in bed with the light out by ten every night now. Also, someone suggested taking magnesium to me and believe me, that works!

There are so many reasons why things change when it comes to a sleep pattern. Hope you figure it out soon!

I used to sleep all day and was wide awake all night. So I slowly began readjusting my cycle. I do have medication to help me sleep (from my doctor), and I HAVE to make sure that my stomach is very empty for those pills to work. And I gradually began taking those pills a little earlier and a little earlier so I would get sleepy earlier and these days I'm up at 7am and in bed around 11pm. I'm so much happier! I hope you can get it done, too!

I tend to go to bed whenever I'm tired, so I'm probably the least qualified to answer. I haven't had a normal routine in about ten years, so how someone gets back into one is a bit of a mystery to me.
