9th anniversary

My husband and I have been together for 14 years. After 5 years we decided to make it official and get married. This Tuesday will be our 9th wedding anniversary.
The wedding itself was a great day in Cozumel, Mexico. It was a sunset ceremony with 14 members of my family there. Low key but beautiful. We still talk about it all these years later.
The past 9 years have had their ups and downs of course but we are still hanging in there. I don't know what we are doing on Tuesday. Probably just going out to dinner. We both have work and my husband won't get home until at least 6.

You sort of had an early celebration in Mexico last week. But you can have an evening celebration.

Is that why you go on vacation there? Or were you vacationing there before you got married? Either way, glad you had a beautiful wedding and have a long marriage and relationship. Happy almost anniversary.

My family had been going there for a few years before we joined in. The first year we went the airfare was stupidly low so a whole bunch of us (16 total) booked the trip. Then my husband and I got engaged. We figured, well, since we already had the trip planned, why not just get married while we were down there? We keep going back (with the family) because we all love it there.
