I just got chewed out

We'll, I just got chewed out big time by my daughter. I guess she has reason to, but it still hurts. I gave my family $575 for food and non food items. With the cost of food that's not a lot of money. My daughter gets a lot of 10 for 10 sales which is a dollar per item. It always looks like a lot but it gets gone. I take the blame for it. I eat a lot of bread and butter to save on other things. My daughter wants to make hamburger helper but there is no hamburger. That's not my fault. I offered the $9 I have left to buy hamburger meat but she said no to keep my money. She left my room crying and I'm crying too. I wish I could just fast until I get paid again.

Oh I am so sorry my friend. Is there anything I can do to help besides just being here to listen? I don't like it when this happens to you.

Been there. Done that, and how I can relate. Sometimes it feels like you are never Good enough or can do enough and then the other person never seems to understand. Hopefully things can be better tomorrow and things be back on their happier way.

I didn't eat after that. No frozen entrée or anything. No breakfast this morning. I'm just going to try and fast until I get paid again.

i have the same frustration. i do the buying, but people here don't follow first-in, first-out, or cook too much, then refuse to help eat it all.

Its not your fault, and I am sure she'll be okay after a while. Probably had her mind set on hamburger today.

I don't know. She wanted to make hamburger helper but had no hamburger. She has the money when I get it, so why won't she buy the meat to last a month instead of 3 meals? I'm still upset and hungry. But I won't eat unless I am invited to.

Mothers would give anything to their children. However, i think its about time to consider @sharon6345 's advise. $500 is too much.

500 lasts us about 2 weeks or a little longer.

I sure know how this is. My daughter buys the groceries but it is with my debit card. We write up the grocery list and go over it together before she goes. Last month she spent over $500 and still we have no food the last week or so of the month. I hate going without my snacks and Dr.Pepper. But, that teen aged boy needs to be fed too. I'm sorry you are both crying about this but I sure know how it is.

I am so sorry for what your going through. You shouldn't be treated that way, it's not right. Especially by your own daughter who YOU took care of for many years. Is that forgotten? I'm so sorry. =(

I hope she will be able to get some hamburger for hamburger helper. We eat a lot of $1 meals when we start to run low on money near the end of the month.

Do not starve yourself. You have to eat regardless what it is. But just bread and butter is not good. I do shopping with just $200 and it is hard but those 10/ $10 sales are good. Does your daughter or you coupon?
