Thoughts transferred to text - a facebook attempt

FaceBook is working on a device that will transfer thoughts into text without using the keyboard.
I am not able to understand how that device can pick those precise thoughts as our mind at that time could be cluttered with thoughts.
What if those are secret thoughts not to be shared. Could what comes up be edited? I am truly confused.

I was thinking exactly the same thing as you. Keep that thought reading device away from me!
And not sure I always want to know what others are thinking either!
I know there are computers that let people communicate by what they focus their eye on. I guess this was the natural progression.

I think that is just too much. I don't care if they read minds at Facebook. Technology is betting much too scary for me. If I wanted I could just use a telephone and call people. Do people still do this? I mean your thoughts are magically transformed into words that a telephone can transfer sound waves to another person's ear and their brain is able to hear it. I think nature already has this down to an art form.
