From brown to green in two hours

I left a city where the trees and shrubs were still brown and two hours by plane, later I am in another city, Vancouver where everything is green and lush, The contrast is huge and interesting to see how the weather varies from one place to the next in the same country or even within states, provinces or cities. Here it is a welcome change to see the blooming magnolia trees, daffodils tulips and flowering shrubs and trees. I am enjoying it and hope that by the time I return everything will be green even though I will still have to wait awhile for flowers. How is spring looking in your part of the world?

It is always nice to see flowers blooming. They just show that summer and the happy days will be here soon

@Freelanzer The snow doesn't seem interested in letting go.

Are you talking about Vancouver British Columbia? I visited this city back in the late 90's. Lovely city that reminded me of San Francisco. Here things are greening up nicely.

we don't have spring, autumn or winter, but even if the philippines is a small country, it can be raining and flooding in other regions while it's consistently hot and humid here in the capital. we don't even feel the earthquakes that has been going on.

What a difference it makes from one region to the next. Even now there is snow in some parts.

@Freelanzer yes, it's weird seeing the posts here because i've always known that april is spring time in the northern hemisphere and it's almost may now.

Lots of green here and some perennials out. My preferred bush here right now is yellow and it is the "Forsythia"

Thanks for reminding me what a Forsythia looks like. I have one in my yard but so far it is showing little signs of life

Spring is more or less over for us now. It seemed to start a little earlier this year! My favourite time of the year when mother nature comes back to life and blooms in all its glory! Makes one glad to be alive!
