Any Good Back Exercises to Recommend??

I honestly don't know if this is a waste of time or not, but the aching is getting worse. I have tried every exercise that I can think of to strengthen my core, but nothing seems to work. It's begins early morning and the only thing that helps is walking. The only problem with that is that you can't do it... ALL DAY! And yes, I have tried changing mattresses and still nothing. It's lower back if that is any help!!

I like the back stretch where you bend over and sloooooowly roll up. 1 vertebrae at a time. Pause where it feels tight....

Wear supportive shoes. Do the pelvic tilt. Are your muscles spasming? Hot soak in tub with epsom salts.

I'm doing the pelvic tilt and others as well, but no improvement as of yet. Maybe it just takes time. A hot soak... that sounds inviting!!

@Hate2Iron oh yes it is the opposite. My dad has claimed that by doing this exercise the paon has subsided a bit. As said by the doctor it might take over 3 months to.be healed

In physical therapy they had me lie flat, draw my knees to my chest, then move them side to side. SLOWLY and only as tolerated!!!

My back is not good because of the Mattress we have the Springs are coming out everywhere. My youngest went to a Massage Therapist in the end till it all cleared up. He was getting very bad lower back pains also.

@Hate2Iron Well for me the mattress my youngest bought made one heck of a difference to me it really did. It was not my mattress alas and I had to let it go with the house itself and other things too.

I have lower back pain quite a bit and I find that just getting up and moving around loosens everything up. I've also begun water aerobics recently at our local YMCA and that is helping enormously, since I can move around a lot more in the water than I can on land!

That is exactly where mine is too and it does get better when I move around. Would love water aerobics though... that sounds so relaxing!!

@Hate2Iron It can be hard work too, but after a day or so you can feel your body adjusting and changing a bit and some of those little aches and pains begin to melt away. That's what makes me keep going back!
