Sometimes Responses Trigger Topics For Me

Odd how we get so egocentric we forget
'that our own circumstances have much to
do with the meals we are given here at the
retirement center. A remark about my lunch
not doing it for her made me blink then think
of course she is much younger, active, family and
work no doubt so her meal needs would not
match mine.
Our fruit plate was meant for people who are
retired and not very active , and some of us are
even overweight. What is okay for us would
not cover her hunger and her needs. We all must
be more open to others ideas.

Patsie, I wasn't trying to upset you with my response. I'm just more of a "savory" kind of person when it comes to my meals. A fruit plate with cottage cheese wouldn't have cut it for me for lunch. . . and I wouldn't like living in a place where other people told me what I was going to eat every day. That would make me nuts.
As long as you enjoy your meals, that is all that matters!

I am glad that you enjoyed your meal. I am sure she didn't mean anything by it. Sometimes we read messages in a different manner then they meant it to be said. We all eat differently depending on so many things.

I think sometimes that what I normally eat would feed a family in some parts of the world.

That is true and you are very astute to have seen that. She may not realize.
