Mildred the Cat - my mom is so boring

Hi everybody. How ya all doing? I'm ok even though life around here is really boring. For months and months, all my mom did was watch politics on TV. She would scream and yell and threaten to throw things at the screen.
It wasn't a fun time for her and certainly not for me. Now she watches less TV and reads more books. She said reading is pleasant, relaxing and better for her health. What am I supposed to do while she relaxes all day? I'm being forced into taking more naps.
At least my mom went to the grocery store today and bought me another rotisserie chicken. She said I have to share it with her. She also bought a big jar of my favorite cookies, which are supposed to be good for my teeth. Anything that keeps me away from that horrid dentist is OK with me.
Anyhoo, I hope you guys are living interesting lives.

You need to be more vocal ...get into things so she has to notice you. Don't always be the perfect kitty..be a rebel...

@LindaCPearson Dear Auntie Mildred the Cat,
I can back this up. I get plenty of attention when I get on or under the table where the computer cords are and knock the router or the external hard drive in the floor. It works.

Oh Mildred, you are looking truly beautiful. However, I hope you did not fall off that table.You are very near the edge.
I an do sorry about yhe politics and the reading. A well trained Human needs to be getting us a lot of dinner in my opinion.
However, at least you get chicken.

Dear Freya - I appreciate your concerns about me falling off the table and I agree totally with you about humans getting us lots of dinner. oh Mildred, you are so beautiful! Your Mom obviously loves you a lot and dotes on you, so you can be near her as she reads, just to let her know you're around! I wanted to read a book one day and my feline child decided that wasn't to be the plan. She came along and sat on my book! In that way, she got all the attention and the book, for a time, was forgotten. Food for thought, Mildred!

It's not that I'm against more napping. I just think I should have lots of both - attention and napping.
