I'm Smarter Today (maybe?)

United States

It's nice to feel smart so today I'm feeling quite a bit smarter than I was yesterday, the day before and the day before that, etc. Why am I smarter? Well my kids talked me into getting a smart phone!! I've given up my hold on that last century and updated my Flintstone phone (which is what my kids and grandkids call it) to a smartphone. I was hesitant to upgrade figuring I wouldn't be able to work it but it only took a day and I was using it like I've had it forever. Now I don't know how I managed to use such a small little flip phone all these years. This smartphone is bigger and I can actually see the screen. So, I"m feeling smarter today and all it took was a "smart"phone

Good for you! I got "smarter" on the weekend when we bought another smart tv, and now you with a smartphone. I like my smart phone, although I think it is almost ready to graduate to another level as its aging and 1 more drop and I'll probably be shopping for a new one!

I probably could have upgraded to a more sophisticated phone but I don't want it to be too complicated. I do love my smart tv

I still have an old Nokia but the battery is done now. But I don't really when to be "smart that way" if it means to buy a Smart Phone. I have no interest in that at all.

Smartphones aren't always necessary but, let's face it, they are fun! I really only needed a cell phone for those times when I'm away from home, in case my ride doesn't show up or I have another problem. But my smartphone allows me to do so much more. Congratulations and I hope that phone works well for you for a long, long time!

I feel like I should have upgraded sooner but wasn't sure I'd be able to work it.

@Marilynda1225 You don't give yourself enough credit! We all have to put those kids and their phones to shame, you know! lol

First of all congrats on getting the new smartphones. Smartphones are not that difficult to use and once you get used to it you will not want to let go of the phone. Have a nice day.

Even without smart phones, we probably do acquire some more knowledge each day. Good thing, b/c some of the old stuff in my head is getting deleted without my permission @Mariylnda1225

I have a pretty old phone that I still use and that is my favorite, but I can use the smart phone of my husband. Congratulations in getting smarter.

remember a smart phone is only as smart as the person that owns it

I am still a flip phone fan. I find anything that has smart in it's title usually turns out to be exactly the opposite. So I have not changed over. They had to sneak onto my property to give me an electric smart meter. I refused to let them do it while I was home. My rates have been double every since. Good luck with your phone, I hope it works well for you.

I say walk past him with it in your hand, see if he pays any attention. If he does not chase you down and grab it from you, it is all your. You gave him a chance.

I had a smart phone once and didn't feel any smarter for it. So I'm back to the Flintstone phone and much happier for it lol.
