An earthquake in Chile.

I am terrified. There have been several not so big (for us) quakes in Chile lately.
But today I was in bed. I think I have a virus of sorts and my bones ache and my stomach aches.
And suddenly, the lamp starts dancing and the earth has sounds and the beautiful hanger I brough from Brazil clings.
I ran to the terrace (the plant hangers moved like mad) and to the garden. The plastic I put at the terrace has a sort of door made for these occations.
I DO NOT like earthquakes.

Stay safe there @marguicha !
The Philippines had a couple of earthquakes as well this past month. These earthquakes were in the 4-5 magnitude range and caused considerable damage in the ares struck.

We don't live in an earthquake prone area, but I remember the day we experienced one. I was on the phone with my husband. Some of the children were playing outside and I commented that it felt like someone was jumping behind me. Then my daughter came up from the basement and told me that everything down there was rattling (very unusual) .

We don't have them here in Florida, but when I lived in Oregon we had them regularly.
