~Interesting Night~

Right now we are at the laundromat. My husband gets off late from work every day so we can only do laundry when he gets off since I don't drive. My husband's cousin is spending the night at our house because something is wrong with the water at his house. For some reason he has absolutely no water. It's going to be an exhausting evening since the laundry takes forever but it had to be done today. I hope your all having a good evening. =)

@Tina30219 Thanks, we got home around 2am and then the babies needed to be taken care of so I finally got to bed around 3am. We hope it's fixed soon too, thank you. I feel bad for him having no water.

@jstory07 Thanks, I didn't get any relaxing time. Both babies needed bottles and diaper changes when we finally got home. I got to bed around 3am.

I only went to a laundromat once, and it was back when I was in college. I put my clothes in the wash and then ran next door to the store to buy a few things. When I came back, somebody had pulled all my clothes out of the washer and threw them all over the floor. I was so pissed I never went back again, and from that point on did my laundry at friend's houses!

@moffittjc Oh wow, if that happened to us we would figure something else out too. No one should have touched your clothes.

@LovingMyBabies It was probably just some kids acting stupid or something. It wouldn't make sense otherwise for someone to reach inside a washer and pull all of the clothes out just to throw them on the floor!

@moffittjc Yeah that wouldn't make sense for an adult to do something like that. Unless they were really bored!

Is there a particular reason why you don't drive? It's not my business so you don't have to say if you're rather not.

@JudyEv Yes I freeze when I get behind the wheel as soon as anything makes me nervous. It's really not safe for me, the passengers or any other drivers. So I just don't get behind the wheel-driving is not worth my life.

@LovingMyBabies In that case, not driving makes a lot of sense.

I used to go the laundromat sometimes when my son was young. I am not sure why I did though because we had a washer and dryer in a building right across the street. I have gone to the laundromat a time or two on vacation as well.

The laundry has to be done one way or another. It must be hard having to always go to the laundromat every time. We have washer and dryers in our building, but not in our unit. And even that can be hard work. But you have to do what you have to do.

@jobelbojel Thank you we did. He still doesn't have water. They figured out the pump busted since we have had no rain, dirt was getting clogged in there. Pumps are expensive so not sure what he's going to do. For now, he has a roof over his head here with us.

So much extra work going to a laundromat. But you can do more loads at one time. So there are pros and cons to that.

@fishtiger58 Yes it is a lot of work but your right the machines do hold more than household ones. It's still exhausting though.

I cannot imagine especially with your big family having to take laundry somewhere to get it done. We are fortunate to have a washer and dryer we bought New when we bought our home. Hope you were able to get it done.

When my husband and I first married, for about 3 years we had to go to the laundromat to wash clothes. Then finally we broke down and bought a washer & dryer and that has been so nice to do it here at the house instead of driving into town to do it.
