You know it's a good day at the grocery store when the laughs outweigh the prices!

The group of women with whom I ride to the grocery store is usually a very low key bunch. Naturally, we each have our own problems and we keep them to ourselves. They will find one or two things to complain about, and beyond that, there's not a lot of talking that goes on. And that goes against the grain of who I have become. Life is quiet enough in my little apartment, so whenever I go out, I slap a smile on my face and become chatty Kathy with whoever is around.
I finished my shopping in record time, even as I was walking the store. And it felt good to stretch my legs and walk around. I did a self checkout, since it's usually faster, and then noticed another group of people waiting for their van to bring them home. I am familiar with them, so I went over to chat. The one man in the group LOVES to talk, and I found out today that no topics are taboo with him! lol
He talked about his health problems. He had some urinary problems and went into great detail describing how he fixed his problem! lol Then he talked about his childhood and why the boys loved sitting in the back of the bus (apparently a girl was "servicing" them). For the first time since I've known him, he didn't talk politics (he voted for Trump - not sure if he's still in favor of the man or not).
At one point, I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe! He's a very nice man and never before talked about that kind of subject matter, and when one of the women was clearly upset about it, he began making jokes until he got her laughing (clean jokes - he wanted to put her in a better mood).
We all left the store laughing and being silly and it sure made this cold, rainy Tuesday a much better day! They say laughter is the best medicine and I agree. It's much cheaper, too!

So, was it an expensive shopping day for you before you got your good belly laughs in? Laughing is good and sometimes it doesn't take much to get a group of people laughing. It's nice he noticed the one lady's concerns and got her laughing too.
