She keeps calling me

I really don't understand my Mother in the slightest. She feels she knows it all and a victim. I avoid her like the black plague. Very negative and thinks the world owes her something. She calls me to tell me My Dad bought this bag of trail mix from Costco and how she got a bowl worth. How he said its for work for him to take. She starts an arguement with him then screaming at him while on the phone. SO I hung up I don't have time for her crap in the slightest. She calls back to scream at me because I hung up because she was screaming in my ear. Apparently I'm just like him. Really I don't care she started it all just like a child mentality. So she goes and calls my grandma and tells on me. If you can't tell by now I'm rolling my eyes into my head.

Definitely not the type of person you want in your life, by the sound of it. I don't blame you for wanting to avoid her. I would probably avoid her as well.

Anything she says is negative and rude. She can do no wrong and since as she says my brother was "stolen from her" by his girlfriend she's controlling and tries accusing people of things.

@ricki_911 I can't believe that some people act like this. It's so sad.

@dodo19 Makes me wonder what went wrong to make them like this. She blames others for everything. Like she's never wrong and she's sat there saying this in front of everyone.

She always has to be right. I have no clue how my Dad lives with that.

@ricki_911 Maybe your dad is an easy going guy and takes your mom's antics because he said he would be with her for life

@Marty1 He puts up with alot over the years, and they arn't married so he promised nothing. I admire over the last year or so he stands up for himself hence her little child tantrums. I do believe it is since us kids are older and moved out. I personally believe she is extremely unhappy with her life, and whines about my Dad. Yet, he worked for years while she did nothing even whined then about how little he did. Now he has helath issues and works part time (but mind you 90% of his bills are paid by a settlement), so she is working and whines how she's the only one working (yet when I bring up how for a good 15 to 20 years she sat at home while he worked to pay off the house, and pay her way). I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually split and a suprise because her name is on nothing, and has bad credit.

I'd be rolling my eyes too. My mother used to call me while arguing with my dad. She wanted to tell me what he did wrong. No way should we have to listen to all that.

She just wanted me to say he was wrong and she was right. She very selfish and negative like that. She phones bragging after like I argued about it.

@ricki_911 That is what my mom wanted too. She was negative and selfish too and so was my dad. So glad my siblings and I turned out to be nothing like them.

It's understandable that your mother gets on your nerves, but she must be a very unhappy and frustrated woman.

I would imagine she's rather unhappy the way she talks and carries on. My brother girlfriend apparently 'stole' him from her . But why call me because he bought it for him, then she takes it, and then screams about it like a child.
