Next few days are busy, busy!

Got some good and bad stuff happening. The bad is I have to have dental surgery tomorrow (uggg...pain and expense), but the good is Thursday night my husband and I are going to his annual work reunion at a local restaurant. That's always fun, although there's usually a name or two who has passed away since last year. A friend is coming from out of town to go with us and will spend the night here. I'm baking a pecan pie to have for dessert at lunch on Thursday. You know how we are when company's coming.~~ Lots of extra house cleaning also. Saturday I'm cooking a broccoli casserole, sausage and potato casserole, brownies and sweet tea for a covered dish dinner after church Sunday. It's my turn to teach the adult Sunday School class that morning and my husband is preaching. I'm singing a special "It Was Me" and I'll also do the children's message (if we have any kids there!) You can tell we have a really small church. In fact we share our pastor with another church. They'll be coming to our church for the 5th Sunday combined service and dinner. It's fun having things to get ready for and look forward to. Although I do enjoy my quiet times hanging out with my husband. He's my best buddy. Oh man, it's started raining again. We've had rain for the past four days as I'm sure some of you have had also. I'm starting to feel like Noah's wife. Hope all of you have a great next few days and weekend!

I love small churches. They tend to have some really great people in them.

That can be true, I just wish we had some children there.

Except for the dental issue, the rest sounds like fun. Won't the dentist put your on sedation or something so you won't be in pain? They should also give you pain pills for later.

He'll give me several injections in the mouth (those hurt terribly!), but I'd rather have those than to feel the drill.

@1creekgirl Please let us know how it goes. I have had dentists who give excellent shots and then those who do not. I will be praying for you.

Dental surgery-no fun for anyone, and then you have to pay for it too!

@1creekgirl That is really a ton of money. No wonder most don't get the help they need.

Yeah, the paying part's actually more painful! It's almost $3,000 and that's with insurance!

If everybody takes it like that, will it not be accumulation without any distribution?

Sorry, but not sure what you mean. We take a lot, eat a lot, then take lots home!

If everyone takes as much to the church dinner as you are, they'll be leftovers for days!

Believe it or not, some take even more! We don't have many people, but we always have lots of food.
