a whole post lost!

I was in the middle of typing a rather lengthy post, when suddenly my browser crashed! All that typing done in vain! I wish there was a way to autosave a draft on here, but no such luck. This isn't the first time it's happened to me either. It's not MyLot's fault, it's just a browser or internet issue on my end... but it sure is disappointing when it happens.

I do this all on my phone. I type everything in Quicknotes and cut and paste, just for that very reason. I've lost stuff too.

@spiderdust - I started doing it after the page took it upon itself to reload one day, right in the middle of typing my discussion.

Ah, that's an idea! I could type them up in Evernote and copy/paste.

I had that problem years ago when I lived in a place where the internet wasn't very stable. I would write my posts in a Word document (or you can use "notepad") and save it every few sentences. Then I'd copy/paste onto myLot. I still do that if I have a long post or I want to write a long email. It is so frustrating to lose your work because you may be able to reproduce most of it but you're certain to leave some stuff out that you had before. And the time lost is also frustrating!

I use a Chromebook, so a Word document isn't an option for me. I think there might be something called "Scratchpad" which is similar to Notepad and will work even when I'm not online. I need to poke around and see if that will work for me.

I always type my posts into Notepad first, then copy & paste them. Longer posts I'll also save on my computer as well.

@spiderdust There might be another method, but I do find it's a good idea to save posts somewhere different to the site you're posting them on.
