Snow and Sunshine in April

Today I took my continental colleagues to our factory in Bradford. It was a bright sunny day but I knew it would be cold and that we'd be driving over the southern Pennines and that there was a chance that we might get snow. We were leaving from sea level (on the Mersey estuary) and heading up about 400 m altitude. I know, you're maybe thinking that's not a lot but it's enough to cause significant drops in temperature.
Saddleworth Moor was completely clear. In fact the whole drive over was plagued only by traffic and not by snow.
About two hours later we looked out of the window of the meeting room and it was snowing quite heavily. It's nearly the end of April. That's totally crazy.
The snow didn't settle at all as it was much too warm, but it was quite a surprise to see it. Glorious sunshine and a little patch of snow - all in all a classic bit of British weather.

No snow here, thankfully, but we had some really cold temps yesterday, and today is near 80!
