Finally here on Hulu. Been waiting with bated breath So, far it has not disappointed. I read this story in a book many years ago. 1985 by Margaret Atwood. Very good writer. Then I watched the movie in 1990.now I get to watch a series and it is all very accurate like the original story. of a future world taken over by a military type group because of a fertility crises in future. Women that can bare a child (and there are few) are made slaves and placed in houses with commanders to have children for them. Its quite creepy as they are watched all the time and anyone against this treatment is punished or just killed. The story is told by one such girl named Offred. meaning she belongs to Fred "of Fred". got to get back to it now. its exciting. will talk more about it later and return to comment and read your posts. Just recommending a very good scary movie/book/ series. if you watch let me know what you think.

I'm sure it's the Handmaid's tale - not handmaiden's.

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that it's better than the 1990 movie. This is one of my favorite books by one of my favorite authors. I wish it had come out last year, maybe the election would have turned out differently.
