Tears to my eyes

Today my late husband would be 62 years old! When one of my granddaughter's got off the school bus this afternoon one of her friends was talking to her daddy and she started crying.
My 6 year old granddaughter went to her friend and asked her what was the matter. The girl looked at her father and he shook his head yes to his daughter. She turned and looked at my granddaughter and said with tears, " My mommie died!"
I remember almost 13 years ago telling my 7 year old daughter her father had died.

That is so heartbreaking. Sad to lose a loved one and so hard for the children.

@Happy2BeMe Thank you, yes he was 49 years old and we had only been married 7 and a half years.

This would be hard on a child loosing their mom or dad at that young of age. Rejoyce always in the good memories and be thankful for what you shared.
