Why Remove 'God' from Schools, Anthems and the like?

I do not get it. Yes I understand that many, sadly, do not believe in God. But I can not conceive how it would be found insulting to have the 'word' in an Anthem or School sign, Court room etc... north America was founded on the Priniciples of Christianity. Many did not belive then as well, but the stink was not raised until lately. I may be Christain, but was not raised that way...yet; I never had a problem with 'God' in the Canadian anthem. I do not see the big deal now either. What is your take?

No one is speaking out to keep them from doing it. One women pioneer was determined to take prayer out of school and since then, it has just snowballed. Personally, I believe as long as there are tests in schools, there will be prayer. We have it too easy in the US and we take a lot for granted.
