Do You Like Small Fishes For Dinner

Some fishes cannot grow big because they stay small even when grown though most are caught when they are still fingerlings. The Photo above is what call padas- - a kind of fish usually caught in school and cannot grow big. I bought this from a morning vendor and it's good for sinigang. But its bony but the soup is good. We also make bagguong or fish sauce from this.

@ilocosboy the truth is I don't know what kind of fished that. But I do love fish so much.Especially tambakol,... Its so yummy.

I am not very familliar with this fish but the smaller tabios we turn into patties and deep fry to make fish fritteres or omelet.

@ilocosboy I will ask my mother and wife later, maybe we buy it but just another name, perhaps this is not as common here than in Ilocos.

My cousin used to go fishing and he would bring lots of small fishes at home. We call it ''la bame''. My mum would usually fry it and it would become so crunchy and delicious

the soup just taste so delicious, hhmm. Its so happen the fish is not because it got little bones.

do you mean like anchovy fish..? i like them spicy hot and salty and eat them with rice.. yummy..
