I'm Back

It was a good day today, all things considered. I slept through the infusion. I found out why it's so difficult to stay awake - it's the benedryl they give you before they start the infusion. It was okay, I needed a good nap anyway. I did talk to one of the guys there about the upcoming author event. He wants to write, so I gave him all the information about the event and the Writer's Guild I belong to. Who knows, maybe I'll see him there next week. He took down the information about the best magazines to subscribe to for writers. Getting the laundry into my little car was an experience. I put it in the back seat on the way home. Much easier than trying to get it in the back seat with so many cars close by in the parking lot. It was a challenge. I like challenges, but I think I'll limit my challenges to writing and puzzles, not how I'm going to get anything into the back seat of the car. My younger son had a good look at the car when I picked up his laundry. He said it's not me. Too small. Granted, normally I wouldn't consider this car, but it is growing on me. I also gave him the extra key, just in case. I took the time to eat when I got home, and started reading and doing the final edit for Manifest Destiny. Just minor things not seen when I published it the first time. There will always be something. I don't expect much however, since I've gotten good comments on it, though not a lot of reviews, just one and it is a five star review. Hopefully the second edition will generate more reviews. I'm also playing my game while myLotting, so I'm getting as much accomplished as I can. That's my day. How has your day been? Thanks for reading.

@just4him hey my mum was diagnosed with ulcerative proctitics in 2011. Today she is in remission but still have to take her medicines. In fact she started looking after what she ate carefully (she would make a list of the items which she felt was irritating her bowel). After nearly one year of diet she was in remission. But it took loads of hardwork. She is on Asacol. I guess you have the infusion because of the low blood count

Yes it is. I'll have a busy day tomorrow. I'm reading from Scarred at an open mic author event tomorrow. The huge event starts today and runs through Sunday.

@Nawsheen I have the infusion - remicade - for the colitis. I am taking iron for the low blood count. I'm watching what I eat. I know it's low fiber, which means most of the fruits and vegetables are off my list of foods I can eat, all seeds and nuts, and most breads. The limitations drive me nuts, literally. Good thing I can still eat meat or I would be on liquids for the rest of my life, or so it seems.

@just4him What game is it, and is it a facebook game or swagbucks or something else entirely? I shouldn't ask as I already play too many, but...

I have another tab open and I just go back and forth. It's a strategy game. So there are timed things. I can hear when a task is completed and I just go and take care of it, select another task and come back here and interact. It takes all of about 15 seconds to do that. I also have building upgrades that take a certain amount of time. It's very easy to play there and interact here at the same time. I don't have the game open at the moment.

I knew you were getting a new car but what with being away I didn't realise you had it yet.

Yes, a week today as a matter of fact. I really like it, though my younger son is right, it is small, and most likely will be a disadvantage as time goes on. However, it does drive well and I'm getting used to it.

@JudyEv Yes it is easier to park. It does take some getting out of though as it's low to the ground. I'm getting used to it, and I just did my first grocery shopping with it. I used the trunk instead of the back seat for two reasons - the third door is hard to maneuver in this parking lot where the cars are so close together, and it's easier to put them in the trunk.

@just4him Hopefully you'll learn to cope with the smaller size. It's probably easier to park, is it?

It was okay for a Thursday. I would rather have been anywhere but at the hospital, but I also need the medication, so no choice in the matter. My next infusion is in 8 weeks.

Good that you're getting your book edited before it's printed again. How is your other book coming that you've been faithfully working on for a while now? Did you end up putting your finished laundry into the passenger seat? I'm guessing that's what you meant, not the back seat which is what the computer put, lol. Have a nice night if you're not asleep already.

As usual, you've had a busy, but productive day. Our sports car is just for fun. I barely have enough room in the trunk for groceries. Today we met with our third decorator. The last two sound very promising. They are gathering fabric samples for me.

You really did have a busy day! I did some laundry, too, but it was just downstairs, and I was able to read 6 chapters of a book. That was nice and relaxing. Talked with friends in the building during the day. Chatted with my niece this evening. All in all, it was a good day for me!

Another busy day for you. I rather like the look of your new car - even though it may have less space.
