I sure love it when sports casters when on Twitter yesterday to lecture us nickel and dime humanoids that we should not laugh that about 100 employees were laid off from their jobs at ESPN on Wednesday. It should have been called Black Wednesday since a lot of the on air and internet talent employees were laid off by their bosses at ESPN on Wednesday. I am not laughing at what happened on Wednesday since I know the feeling of either having to take a pay cut for writing blogs that hardly anybody reads or get released by some ingrates at some Wordgirl Fan Clubs due to my view that the former PBS Kids hero could have used some help beside the monkey partner Captain Huggyface by adding the characters the Ladies Of Portobelo Panama as part of a Justice League. What I have heard of former employees at ESPN who are not employed by another commercial network, they have stated their ESPN in their political leanings have become very liberal which was a factor in the loss of subscribers and the rise of Fox Sports 1 which appeals to a larger audience. Now ESPN wake up and dump that rap music and replace it with rock and roll music from the 1970s.

While no one should be happy over layoffs, these people laid off at ESPN likely received severance packages we can only dream of and all of them earned more salary than the rest of us combined. They won't be facing financial hardship like us regular laid off people.

I am sad for them since ESPN was their dream job. The negative many of them said when they went to work for Fox Sports 1 was that you had to keep your mouth shut about politics and religion in that place.

I've never been a very big fan of ESPN. I find it appalling that so many people can make a living reporting about something that really doesn't matter at all.

That is very true since a news event is more important that watching grown guys playing kids games.
