For a few days, I'm a bachelor

My oldest son is graduating from his most recent Air Force training school tomorrow. He's been in one type of training or other for nearly two years. That's how long it takes to make a qualified Combat Systems Officer.
My wife and my youngest son are going to be there to see him graduate. Because of school commitments and the rapidly approaching testing season at school I was unable to travel with them to attend.
So, I will be a bachelor for the next few days. The scariest part of this is going to be tomorrow morning, making sure I get up in time for work. Saturday I can stay in bed, except to let the dogs out, all day if I want. But I won't. Too much to do.
I am hoping to get lots of writing done.
How is your weekend shaping up?

Hope you got up in time this morning!
We were planning to go visit hubby's aunt on Sunday as she recently returned from Florida and we only visit her twice a year..
But my brakes on my van are grinding and I don't trust driving it for an hour to go see her, and if it's not raining hubby will spend Sunday replacing the brakes.

@DWDavis Wow! Enjoy your nice sleep in! I was up at 5:30 this morning for no reason! My alarm was set for 7 so I can get my kid to his baseball game at 9.. I don't understand why I was wide awake at 5:30..

@katsmeow1213 My sleep in ended abruptly when the dogs decided they needed to go out at 6:30. They don't understand sleeping in.

Congratulations to your son - you all must be so proud! Sorry that you cannot attend the ceremony, but I know you are a teacher and those tests are happening now. Well, you sure will get in the "me time" over the weekend - take advantage while you can .

Sorry to hear you won't be able to attend. I'm sure your wife can video-record it for you or do it via Skype. Enjoy the time you have to yourself. My step-nephew is graduating from college this weekend. So other than the gym and church, that's all I have this weekend.

These are situations that are inevitable in one's life. These days will pass off before you know it.
