THE RIGHT TIME.

Have you found that there is a right and wrong time for you to post here on Mylot? - or perhaps timing doesn't matter -and you post whenever it is convenient for you to do so. At my former site - which no longer exists - there was definitely a wrong time to post . A time when posts would languish for hours with very few responses before fading into oblivion. I am talking here about those occasions when the CEO of the site decided to post one of his lengthy articles full of ambition and promises of good things to come. During that period, most members seized the opportunity to give their views, ask questions and make suggestions. Unfortunately, no one knew when he or other members of his staff would be posting. Here on Mylot , depending on what you are after - there is a wrong and a right time to post. How is it with you?

Time zones play a major factor here. I know about it but go about posting to suit my own time frame.

I couldn't sleep one morning so got up and hung out here a little bit. I did post something and thought I'd run into those on the other side of the world, but they must have been off doing something else too. Usually most of my posts will find there way into the 'hands' of those I've hung out with for a long time regardless of when I actually post it. Others may see it on the pages of those they follow and find mine that way. I've only had a few that only got four responses or so and why I don't know. I don't know if I didn't ave an enticing enough title or it was something else entirely. I'd thought of deleting some of them, but decided against it.

I find if I posted two or three discussion a day, those who follow my posts may have time to respond to one - possibly two. After all, there are other posts to read and comment on as well. Therefore, my average is usually one a day - and the time varies.

I post here whenever, there are a lot of folks from India and America, both on totally differing time zones, so I get replies as and when....no 'right' time as I see it.

I noticed that about the other site. I haven't paid any attention to the right or wrong time to post here. With people here from all over the world, there shouldn't be a right or wrong time. I post when I'm awake. I have a hard time posting when I'm asleep.

Being on the other side of the globe I don't worry too much about trying to catch the right time. I'm sure it makes a difference but most of the time I'm awake the other side of the world is asleep.

i am posting my discussions in the afternoon, after i have gone through my notifications like today... do you mean Arvind or Jason? yes, i remember that he used to post lengthy posts, but they won't matter now; we were not paid, and they evaporated.
