So have you ever stood in line for something and not had the correct change I saw this really cool Indian bracelet and I saw it said 1.25 so I went in line to buy it apparently it meant 1.25 off the original price so embarrassingly I put it back I had 20$ bill besides my change but I am saving the 20$ for my card.... Oh how embarrassing oh well I guess the bracelet was a tad feminine not that I care about others opinion of me, but it's not a big loss it won't ruin my happy day.....

$1.25 off only? That is not much of a discount though! Yes, I have put things back and I don't find it embarrassing :)

@chrissbergstrom Oh I see! But the way they dropped the cost is hard to understand =P I'd think it would be $1.25 too!

@chrissbergstrom I'm the queen of embarrassing myself and others. Usually more myself than others. My son enjoys embarrassing me and I'm like dude I don't need your help I do this well enough on my own. My mom ran into her doctor she finds attractive today and I thought about embarrassing her by telling him that she thinks he has a sexy forehead but I was nice. I told her this is why I'm her favorite lol. I always joke if I'm going to make an idiot out of myself I might as well go all out and get a laugh, or basically, go big or go home.

when I worked in retail, it was quite common for people to be mistaken about the price of an object, Once in a while, people got ugly about it and there was screaming involved, but generally, it was just some laughter.

@chrissbergstrom Thanks for the sympathy and for intervening on behalf of the cashier. The first time it happens, it is pretty rattling, and no, one cannot talk back. One cannot escalate the situation. By the time this happened, I was already pretty jaded and laughed when he stomped off. It was so over the top with the talk the about lawsuits and such. The worst thing was having to call someone to put the stuff back. When I worked in the pharmacy, one customer snapped at me, "Go find out what's happening with my prescription, stupid." I turned to him and said, "I'm happy to help you, but I don't appreciate being called names." I never raised my voice. I kept my tone matter of fact, and I was going to find his script come hell or high water. When I did, he apologized. Seems his mother was gravely ill and he was trying to get home. No excuse for verbal abuse, but I can see where he didn't want any delays, either.

THis is something I am always in fear of. At the end of the month I have very few $$ in my account and I am always afraid that the object we need is more that what it was last time we bought it. I even save receipts so I know just how much things cost.

I found myself in a few situations where the price that I thought it was for an item was not the price of the item. I found myself arguing the price, only to find out that the item was in the wrong shelf and felt stupid even though it was not really my fault.

@chrissbergstrom Sometimes in stores, the items are not in the right place and so it can be deceiving. At one time every item used to have a price ticket but these days because of scanners, it's not so.

I once got to the register with no money. Came back, but didn't bring enough money. Came back again and bought wrong item. My girlfriend came back with me to ensure a proper transaction. True story. Embarrassing.
