Children are brainwashed in Hyderabad, India

Yesterday, in the Sunday Market while I was shopping I picked up 5 jointers and asked for the amount to be paid. There were two boys sitting overseeing the customers while they were picking up articles of their choice. When I asked for the price the boy replied 'Rs.50/- for 5 jointers'. I bargained for Rs.20 and he accepted. I gave Rs.50/- note. He went to others to bring the change as he was not having. After 5 minutes the boy came and handed over Rs.30/ and asked if I wear a BITTI. I could not understand what he was asking. He repeated 'Do You wear a Bitti'. Again, I failed to understand. The other boy asked directly 'Are you Muslim or Hindu?'. I was shocked at his question. I replied 'I am a Muslim'. He laughed and said 'No'. You wear Bittu. You are a Hindu. I asked what has he got to do with my Religion? He laughed and replied 'Nothing' and smiled at me. What he wanted to know was 'WHETHER I WEAR BOTTU'. Hindus wear around red dot on their forehead. This indicates their religion. I was not wearing the one. Still, the boy was not convinced with my reply when I said I am a Muslim and said 'No. I don't believe'. What made him not to believe is quite not understandable. This is how young boys of below 10 years have been brainwashed about the Religion in India especially in Hyderabad. The Government should consider such activities of small children from the beginning and put the people under scanner who are teaching small children about the discrimination and differences in Religions.

I would just not answer a religious question, unless I wanted to.

Of course, everybody is at liberty. But, what pinches is the boy so tender in his age is asking a question which is totally irrelevant to his business. I was not even wearing the dot. When he asked I even replied that I was a Muslim. But, that boy was not satisfied.

@shivamani10 Why would he ask, if you did not have the dot?

Are people treated differently based of whether they are a Hindu, a Muslim, or a Catholic?

It seems like that. Who teaches a boy of fewer than 10 yrs old such things?
