Answering the title question versus reading the discussion before answering?

I started a few discussions. The responses I got were interesting. I could tell who answered the question posed in the title, and who actually read and responded to the questions in the discussion. Do you read the title question and only respond to that before reading the entire discussion?? Quick response type of thing. OR do you take a few minutes to read the entire discussion? Do you respond to the questions you find in a discussion? Do you give a well thought out answer? I am from the old MyLot. Yes or No or extremely short answers usually did not pay well. I don't know how it pays now but the whole idea of MyLot is to have thought provoking discussions on a variety of subjects. It promotes communication among strangers and improves language skills world wide. I met some awesome people on here from around the world. You know who you are. I am still friends with many of them years later. Sadly, a few of them have passed away. For them, my heart is sad but I will forever remember them. Netrock taught us graphics. Reliably Unreliable taught us about music and made us question our own logical thinking skills. Rest in Peace my friends. Did you read this discussion completely through? I will know if you did not.

Yes I do read. Yes I do answer to the best of my ability. Yes I do remember many of the beloved members of the old myLot that have passed the ones you have mentioned and the others too, quite a few of them have passed .. Darkwing was the one that introduced me to the old myLot, though my profile does not show my years here. Glad you are back Lil Bit. We shall remember all of them here and honor their memories.

I always read discussions through, but sometimes go off on my own tangents from said discussions. I know better than to just answer a title. You can get in trouble that way. I have even posted some discussions with some tricky titles myself. I sometimes forget what I am talking about in discussions and find I have to come back more than once to give a good answer. I miss a few friends myself.

I read the discussion all the way through. And I respond to what interests me. That may be the title. That may be the picture. It might be a thought that popped into my mind as I was reading. And often dicussions ensue. What I choose to respond to does not indicate what I have read.
