The Horse injured in tragic cycling accident

I think my young friend thought he was a cop, and chasing me. I gradually pulled over, but he forgot where his brakes are and ran into me hard, tearing a lot of flesh off of my left calf. I could tell immediately, without looking, that it was going to bleed pretty much, but that it was a superficial wound. I've played enough softball that I have a protocol for such injuries: wash the area, pour hydrogen peroxide over the wounds (ouch ouch), and let nature take its course. It was by design that I didn't get mad but let the blood trickle down my leg. He said, "It's bleeding a lot." I said, "I'll be OK, but never tailgate me like that again." Lesson learned for both if us, I suppose.

Probably the easiest, if painful, way to teach him that particular lesson. Mum always used to use hydrogen peroxide on wounds and cuts and yes, it did sting and bubble. Mum said that meant it was killing the germs.

@JudyEv Moms are right about some things. I'll do one more "treatment'' before I go to bed.

That's what I heard too. Just did it. I saw bubbles. I guess that's good. 1,000,000 moms can't be wrong.

@optimisticbeauty Hmmm... I don't think you can tattoo a pony, can you? Horses usually get branded!

Yeah, each would has a nice dark scab on it. Oooh. Maybe I'll pour some more hydrogen peroxide on them. I was talking to a gal with multiple tattoos the other day about how pain can be fun.

@nanette64 That's my thought too. That's why I just let it bleed and didn't say anything. We kept cycling. I did calmly ask him "what he'd learned" later.

@TheHorse was just waiting to see if you'd volunteer to be his "manager" and schedule private bookings for him! (He says doing shows three times a day, every day is just too much work!) Hmmm.... now I am wondering how much you should charge for the private shows and how much I get for making the suggestion of you being his booking manager?!

@Plethos Hmmm... do you call him that to his face, Plethos? LMFAO! That might be true, but would that matter, other than we'd be taking advantage of a friend... (And now, see what you did? I was okay with accepting a bit of the largess until I thought a bit harder about my role, here. *sigh!*) Oh, well, easy come, easy go!

@TheHorse the are brushy trees, with an apple like fruit. It's the nasty 2-3 inch long thorns that stick out like nails. I'm not sure if they are considered a hardwood....I try not to get too close.
