The Eagle At Night

May 1, 2017 9:59am CST
Hello friend's, How are you all doing today? I wanted to share another one of my paintings with you. I call this one 'The Eagle At Night", I have never seen an eagle at night and that would because they are most likely sleeping but I did get to see one during the day. I was riding my bike one very rainy afternoon, as I proceeded I saw an extremely large figure, I could not believe the size of it and yes it was an eagle, it looked like it was trying to get something out of the water, it had rained so hard that the water was rising. That was the first time I had seen an eagle up close, I wished I would have brought my camera with me that day but then again I don't think it's water proof, lol. It was one of the highlights of my life, eagle's are spectacular up close and enormous, I would not want to mess with them, have a great day friends, Big hugs from Cathy XO

Oh that's so brilliant of you to say that ARM, I find the eagle to be so very proud and it is such a regal, majestic bird. I adore eagles and I have painted many of them. Thank you for your comment ARM, have a wonderful week, big hugs from Cathy XO

I suspect that the eagles, as most of the birds are no around at night, this is why you never saw one. The picture is anyway very nice.

That makes perfect sense Anna, lol, I guess the beauty of painting is you can capture any animal in any setting, thank you for your comment, big hugs from Cathy XO

@kaylee1234 You are right, we can paint what comes to our mind, no matter it can be true in reality.

@LadyDuck Yes, I think some of the greatest painters captured works of art that some people wondered how did they become so famous, lol. My favorite saying is "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Its amazing what you can paint and capture and really get your creative juices flowing. I think that's one of the reasons why I love to paint. I love to paint in my own style and in my own way. I guess there is no "wrong or right" in painting. Thank you for your wonderful words Anna, have a great week, big hugs from Cathy XO

Thank you so much Chris, I love Eagle's, I think it helps if we love what we are painting. Eagles are one of my favorite birds', I also love Humming birds, I will add a Humming Bird painting for you all in the future. They are so fast and really so amazing, take care Chris, big hugs from Cathy XO

We were are the beach last summer and an Eagle came and landed right on the beach not far from where we were at. He was there for the longest time. I didn't have my camera on me. It was in the car. I figured if I got up to move it would fly a way. I do wish I had my camera on me that day. It was a beautiful sight to see. Very nice picture!!
