Busy Day Yesterday and This Week

Good afternoon. It has been a quiet but busy morning, different from yesterday. Yesterday I planned to get on the computer, but found myself unable to do so for more than a short while. I did not even have time to get more than one chapter edited. My son was here most of yesterday, so I spent time with him. We talked a bit, watched some television, and I worked on my puzzle, which is coming along very well. This morning I had more time to spend on editing, and am coming along well with Freedom's Cry. I will be starting on Chapter 22 and so far, no typos, of which I am very happy. So it's going fast. I will also be working on Manifest Destiny so I can have it in the editor's hands in a couple weeks. It looks like this week will also be a busy one. I canceled my appointment for tomorrow for the dentist, only to find I will still be gone most of the day. It seems it will be a family day, and not a happy family day. My cousin's husband passed last week, so I will be attending a funeral in the morning. This is a cousin I haven't seen in a few years, not since her father passed away, my mother's brother. She had been living in Idaho, but I found out Saturday that she has moved back to Wisconsin. I also have Writer's Guild tomorrow night. Wednesday is a mother/daughter dinner, which can include friends, at the Eagle's Club, and I will be going as a friend to my friend from Writer's Guild. It looks to be a fun night. Thursday I have my counseling appointment, and then I am free the rest of the week. So very busy this week. I'm taking advantage as much as I can today to get as much done on my books as I can. I will also be here for a little while, interacting with you. I missed not being here yesterday and I really need to take care of my myLot addiction and see how you are all doing. The weather the last couple days has turned decidedly cold and when I looked at the forecast, I happened to see snowflakes on the map spread across the plains states. So that is how things are for me. How are you doing? Thanks for reading.

Good afternoon, Valerie! Spending time with your son is well worth being off the computer. I adore the time with our sons. That's wonderful that your editing is minimal. You will be done before you know it! You do appear to be a busy lady, but stop by to visit us when you can. I wore my own lipstick, I'll have you know, when I walked with my friends this morning and again later when I went to our town green to vote for our first selectman.

@just4him I know how busy you are. Enjoy your week. I shall keep my lipsticks where they belong! For me, it's good to be able to myLot again. However, we have a decorator coming out tomorrow with fabrics to look at. All we need are two lamps, each different, and the room will be done. It's fun, but time consuming.
Wow, you really do have a lot on your agenda for this week! I have an appointment this afternoon across town, its a job interview, but I'm not feeling 100% so that may work in my favour as I'm not too keen on the job anyways. But when you are out of work you are expected to look for work. But otherwise I don't have anything booked for the rest of the week.
@just4him Its not just the job that I don't want, my stomach feels upset, like I ate something that didn't agree with me. And I don't think that its nerves, so I'll go with your theory. He knows that I am looking for something working with seniors, and I've stopped applying for jobs that don't fall into that criteria. You've paid your dues if you are retired, I still have another 10 years or so until I will throw the towel in-health permitting of course.

@Juliaacv I hope you find something just right, and I know if God is in it, you will. I hope you do feel better soon. Mine was forced retirement. I got fired from my job a couple years before I was old enough to retire, and being that age I couldn't find a job. Hardest years of my life. I had never been without a job before then, except for a couple months.

Yesterday (Monday) was one of those day that's a bit too busy. I taught my 8 AM class, worked at my friend's preschool, edited an exam (giving it Wednesday) and took it to the printer, and then saw a kid client. Fortunately, band practice was cancelled. Heh.

You canceled the best part of your day, that moment when you relax and unwind? You were busy. My busiest day is today. Though my older son did add to Thursday. Somehow I don't think I'm going to be home at all on Thursday, not until late.

today is a nice day, the bedding is washed and put up, there is only one more load of laundry to put up, the dish washer was loaded and unloaded, and the errand is ran. I only have to work at D store for 4 hours tomorrow, then nothing for a week. I am fine with this.
