Monday night dinner- Dinner for three for under $10.

Well tonight is a twist on a staple meal at our house and I get to use my cast iron skillet which always makes me happy. I rub vegetable oil along the inside of the cast iron skillet and then chop up a package of beer brats into bite size pieces. I toss those along with some olive oil, seasonings and chopped potatoes and then throw them in the skillet. Add some chopped mushrooms and we are good to go. Usually it's just the potatoes and sausage, but since mushrooms were on sale Saturday when I went grocery shopping, we have two containers of them and I thought they would make a nice addition to this meal. The package of mushrooms was about $1.66, the package of beer brats was $3.00 and the three potatoes equals to about $0.50 or maybe a little less. Add in about $0.50 worth of olive oil and seasonings. The whole meal costs $5.66 and thats for a whole meals, that will feed probably three of us tonight, and then there will be some leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
