It was like a bad dream. Something a person with some issues would dream. Society is plagued already. Not far to go for this very thing to come to be. It is like life in another dimension. Creepy but intriguing. If you want to leave your reality for a while this is how to do it. Hanna, Luke and June are the names she is forbidden to say. Wouldn't that be awful? Not to be able to say the names of your loved ones?

@celticeagle No. Not since I watched Twilight Zone as a kid and it was the episode with all the wax figures in the basement. I was awake all night staring at the elm in the back yard. I haven't seen a horror show since.

@celticeagle It's not actually a horror movie, it's science fiction. Or at least speculative fiction.

It's good. A new episode every Wednesday. It is getting into the past of the main character and about the beliefs of the new government. I think it is rather thought provoking.

Are you referring to the program "The Handmaid's Tale"? She's forbidden to speak her own name as well, as she is property of someone else and has been renamed to reflect that. It's literally an example of slavery.

Its too much like Trump-ville for me if I had a way to watch it. The original was bad enough.

@spiderdust There was a movie once upon a time. Robert Duvall was in it.

@sallypup Ah, I remember that one. It was a decent attempt, but it's hard to fit the whole book into 2 hours. I've heard the show is much true to the text.
