Thirty potatoes

Yep, I am baking thirty potatoes tomorrow when I get home from work. This evening I scrubbed them, oiled them, poked them and wrapped them in foil. They tell me youth group is about twenty five mouths to feed, so I wanted to make plenty. I have two kinds of sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese both for some toppings for the potatoes. I will also have chili, and canned chicken. I will include salsa for those who want it. I will chop some green onions as well. I am taking it easy as far as things on the side. I will provide frozen fruit and store bought cookies.

Yes, these guys tend to eat whatever is on hand, then if some one comes late they are out of luck.

@GardenGerty I can't imagine that there would be too many leftovers.

They meet every Wednesday night for Bible Study and socializing and practicing guitars and praise songs. People feed them.

Oh, Mylanta! That's a lot of potatoes! Next time, you can save yourself some elbow grease by washing the potatoes in the automatic dishwasher. Run it on a short cycle with no detergent... it actually works! I only do it when I have to make a whole bunch of potatoes.

I said something to hubby about using the dishwasher and he thought it was not a good idea. Bummer. I will know next time.

@GardenGerty I'll see if I can find more info about it... I don't think it's a "top rack only" sort of thing.

@youless _It's potatoes not tomatoes. One is a vegetable while the other a fruit.

@youless I love it. I have heard of people cutting a tomato in half, topping it with bread crumbs, herbs and parmesan cheese. I am not sure it would work for a main dish, however. Thanks @josie_ for helping out.
