I have been working on the old home place for a long time, a little at a time. Today I take another step to get this place livable, I mean someone could live there but I would NOT so if its not good enough for me then I won`t rent it.
Last fall we put the metal roof on, just me and Tony. Yes Tony did most of the stuff on the roof but I was the send up the sheets of metal, screws etc. I did all the ground work, including cold drinks and a fan on the porch for many breaks, while I was ripping down sheet rock inside.
Late yesterday after work I stopped by and we measured the size of floor joists that will be needed and how many we will replace or need to sister on.
Today I am buying half of what we need and maybe get that much accomplished, plus I still have junk in the basement to trash can AND i will mow the grass, its been two weeks already.
Right now Tony is sleeping and I wont bother him because it really does not matter what time we work, its for the most part all inside, I just need 45 minutes to push mow the grass. Plus I have to gather my supplies I will need for the day from the shed, the shed that needs cleaned out..... but that is another day and another discussion
How is your day going? Gotta work today?

@andriaperry He was a smart man to give you the drive to get things done independently.

I remember saying to my dad when I was a teen and I had moved out already, my grass needs cut and he said " the mower is in the basement."
